So I am hanging out with Liv today and all of the sudden…
“Apple bottom jeans! Boots with the fur!”…She knew all the words. I started laughing so hard I cried and asked if she would do that for me again so I could video her.
Olivia continues to spread the good word of the Tooty-Ta! This time the whole family get’s involved as we preformed the Tooty-Ta at Uncle Matt and Aunt Jen’s wedding last weekend. Olivia went on to dance for more than 2 hours straight. Sorry to anyone who planned to have your wedding reception at the Berg, Olivia melted the dance floor.
Olivia shows everyone how to do the Tooty-Ta. If you have been to our house or been around Olivia even a few times, chances are you have done the Tooty-Ta with her. I may start taking video with each new Tooty-Ta’er and post them all here. Ha-ha. She does this all the time and I finally remembered to get some video and post it on the blog.
A few friends, the Swindlr crew, launched their first product Zappn.com a few weeks ago. May 29th, 2009 they threw a launch party at the Arts Incubator in downtown Kansas City. They have been working on the product for quite sometime and actually met their newest teammate/programmer at Highlight Midwest last year.
Be sure to check out Zappn.com where “it’s not who you are, it’s what you do” and sign up for an account. Be sure to give them feedback as the product is pretty new and they are updating it like crazy.
A few months back, we took Olivia bowling. I took some video but never really put it together until I had a little down time over the weekend. I think it was probably March when we took her. Megan and I were thoroughly impressed by her ability to carry the ball herself and throw it down the lane. I helped it forward, slightly, just so it would not take an hour each time, but everything else was all her. She even stood at the end of the lane and watched the ball all the way down to see if it knocked any pins down. I know it is early and I am probably making something of nothing, but that tells me that she understands the objective and is actively interested in the outcome. I think we have an athlete on our hands. I know a lot of quality athletes at the college level that don’t have the understanding of one thing causing another and ultimately leading to an end means (haha). Anyway, below is the video I put together. The song is by a group called Jurassic 5. I hope you enjoy.
